my daughter has occasional urinary incontinence, i think just when exercising. I don’t think she wants to tell me much about it, however she said that it happens in PE etc. Anyone have any guidance on what to suggest first? I think she would hate visiting a Doctor and discussing it with them. Thanks
you relly need to take her along to see your doctor just to make sure all is okay with her bladder and to have a urine test done doctors hear about bladder probles all the time don,t be shy theres tablets they can give your daughter to help her i was like your daughter i did not want to tell my doctor about my bed wetting or daytime problems but i did
Yes, it is really important to take her to the Doctor for a test! You just need to ensure there is nothing serious happening. Doctors hear about this problem frequently, so tell her that professionals are used to it.
For stress incontinence, I would recommend trying her in something subtle like a shaped pad. Do not buy anything unnecessarily bulky for her, as she will definitely prefer a lighter product. Lights by TENA Ultra Towels are ideal for light incontinence, and are small shaped pads.
Once you have visited a Doctor, I would recommend her trying kegels if the Doctor says this is safe.
