hi, I am a 27 year old woman with what I think is stress incontinence. I experience leakages when running, laughing, jumping etc.. I really do not have the patience to visit a Doctor and talk about this and just want to book in for surgery. can’t seem to find a list on google, can you help me with some options of surgery for stress incontinence please? Too young for incontinence and do not have time for this!
Thank you for your question. Sorry to hear you’re experiencing stress incontinence.
Surgery is tempting, however it is really important to try natural methods first. Surgery can be very invasive and uncomfortable, and most Doctors recommend natural lifestyle changes first. Pelvic floor exercises are a good place to start, with a high success rate.
Do you know the cause of your incontinence?
It is really important to talk to a Doctor to ensure there is not a serious cause. They can also point you in the right direction for treatment.
