Thanks for your reply….I have been to see GP this morning….a different one at my surgery. She examined me, and has prescribed Oestragel for me,as I have post-menopausal thinning, to use alongside the Oxybutynin. She has also referred me to hospital for Urology investigation ( as you also suggested). I will use NHS Choose and Book system to arrange an appointment. She mentioned something called Urodynamics, and I will be googling this a bit later !
I have to return to see the same GP in 6 weeks, to see if the Oestragel has made any difference. I was also interested to hear her say that the lower back pain could also be linked.
I am relieved that I am now going to get this looked at properly, although I am nervous at the thought of needing any surgery.
I will look at buying better protection to use when going out walking.
