hi everyone. My 83 year old mum has Parkinson’s disease and has recently told me that she has urinary incontinence. I think this is due to her reduced mobility…the Doctor told me this is common as it is often caused by constipation. i am going round more often to see her and we have made access to the toilet much easier and have bought toilet aids for her etc. She claims that the pads I bought her aren’t doing anything and she is leaking through them.
Can anyone advise a good product for her? I would like something that is easy to change but will be comfortable for her.l
Thank you for your question. This does sound difficult, Parkinson’s disease is hard as it can really reduce quality of life.
That’s great that you have invested in mobility aids. Does your mum live by herself?
For protection, I would recommend an all in one pad. These are the most absorbent designs and can be easily changed as they have velcro tabs or a belt.
Are her leaks quite frequent and severe?
