Hi, I’ve had incontinence problems for many years now but my main struggle is managing it at night. I never seem to have a good night’s sleep because I constantly wake up really wet and uncomfortable and its like my incontinence gets worse. I try to limit how much I drink before bed but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Has anyone got any tips on managing incontinence at night time? Or what products are the most efficient? Does anyone know of any good mattress protectors in case of leakages?
Have you seen a Doctor about your nighttime incontinence? You may have a hormone deficiency that can be treated with medication. Limiting fluid before bedtime is a good idea, however, ensure you do not become dehydrated. This can make symptoms worse by irritating the bladder. Stay away from caffeine, alcohol and artificial sweeteners before you go to bed. Bedwetting alarms can be helpful in managing Nocturnal Enuresis.
Have you tried Brolly Sheets Quilted Mattress Protectors? They are a popular choice for protecting your mattress and have a quilted top for extra comfort and protection. You can purchase these online here.
What product are you in during the night at the moment? All in one pads are highly reliable for those who struggle more at night time. They are pads that can be fastened to your body like incontinence pants and are worn in place of your regular underwear. Would you be willing to try one of these?
