Just wondering if anyone has had the mesh implants. I have suffered from stress incontinence for a while now and my consultant has recommended this. What’s everyone’s thoughts?
During mesh implants, a net-like fabric is attached into the wall of the vagina to act as a scaffold to support organs, such as the bladder to help manage incontinence. They are however often treated as a last resort. Recent news has shown the surgery to cause a lot of complications that can sometimes be life-changing.
Have you asked a Doctor about any other options that would be suitable for you? It would be wise to try other methods before considering surgery.
How long have you been doing pelvic floor exercises? If every other method proves to be unsuccessful, you should ask your Doctor whether mesh implant is suitable for you.
