hi everyone,
I am just wondering what people’s opinions are on wearing washable products instead of disposable ones. I am passionate about caring for the environment and would like to try the washable option. My incontinence is light-moderate urinary (mostly light) and occurs during exercise and certain movements. However, i know they are often not as heavy and not as reliable as disposable. Is it worth trying some washable pants or am I better off sticking to disposable? (Someone who has tried washables would be useful to talk to) thanks, Michelle
Hi Michelle, I am also urinary incontinent, and recently have been looking into the washable products. I too am worried about my impact on the environment. each disposable product takes up to 500 years to decompose… we all need to start thinking about our planet. I have moderate to heavy incontinence. so the products I have been trying might suite you for overnight. the first washable product I purchased was from an online company called “the nappy lady” it is an adult-sized washable slip. with velcro fixings, it has microfiber inserts, and I got to say it works, even for me. I do have to add another insert to increase the absorbency though. (product name,Bambinex pro) just noticed they also have a website. the second product i use is from the USA, and the shipping and customs fees make them expensive. but they are good. is a company called “Threaded Armour” which is a sister company of “Supperundies” these are pull up pants with padding inside. if you wanted to view the product just type Threaded Armour into utube, and a lovely lady called Laura who is very helpful show you the product fainge. I wish you the best of luck with your serch Jon
