Peristeen plugs – Has anyone tried? i have bowel incontinence and while surfing the web i came across these. Wondering if they would be useful? i cant seem to find much information on them at all.
Yes, they are often a discreet aid for faecal incontinence. They should be used for up to 12 hours. They are inserted just like a suppository. When the film is exposed to the moisture of the rectum, it dissolves and the plug then expands, conforming to the shape of the rectal cavity. They are often easy to manage, however can sometimes cause local irritation. Has a Doctor recommended you use this?

Have you heard of biofeedback? This helps you control your pelvic floor muscle to prevent leakages. A device tells you how well you’re doing the exercises.
