I hope this does not come off as intrusive, but I am a design student looking to do my next project around incontinence and absorbent underwear as it affects so many people. If you are willing to share, I have a few questions that could help with my research:
– What are your preferred terms for the products you use (eg. incontinence underwear, absorbent underwear)?
– What are the main issues with products that are currently available?
– What product works best for you (eg. pads, underwear…), and why?
– Is washable/reusable absorbent underwear appealing to you? This already seems to be popular for children’s nappies and period products, but I have also seen a couple of brands that offer underwear for light bladder leaks targeted primarily at women.
– Does the idea of specially designed trousers sound appealing? These could offer either a second layer of protection, help mask the shape of underwear, or provide easier access.
Hi i prefer taped nappies as they are easier to change in public without having to take off all of my clothes
I personaly prefer the term nappy or diaper as apose to pad as i think it gets confusing calling every incontinence product a pad but most people dont share this opinion although i dont have a problem with pullup, incontinence underwear or incontinence pants as it clear by the name what the product is
The problems with product currently available are nappies are akward to put on without assistance although it is doable and pullups can be changed without removing all of my clothes also the padding in pullups is often only where MOST of the urine goes which usualy causes leaks in alot of brands also problem with all products is that none hold urine when the user in lying of there side
What would make a better product would be a taped nappy that it would easy for somone to use the toilet if you are going to use taped nappies in your design i reccomend useing velcro tapes instead of adhesive
Hope this helps

Hi @Matt, thank you so much for sharing your experience with me and everyone else! This has been extremely helpful, and I actually think I will end up focusing on taped nappies as you recommended.
