I am a man with light/moderate incontinence…however recently it has become heavier. I am completely in my comfort zone with TENA Men…it’s comfy and I know it’s discreet. However, recently it is not enough for me anymore. I went to golf yesterday and to my horror it leaked through a bit…had to make up an excuse and head to the bathroom, then home as I never carry a spare. One of my close friends told me, but hopefully no-one else noticed!! My question is…is there anything else AS discreet as this for heavier leaks? Cheers! Mark
There are so many discreet products available in the market now, you will definitely find one that is ideal for you. Are you open to trying a pull up pant? These look and feel like normal underwear, and you will be able to find a design that is more absorbent than TENA Men. You wear these pants instead of your normal underwear. I would recommend the Depend Comfort Protect Pants, which provide you with maximum comfort when you are moving and lock away moisture and odours.
You could try plastic pants over your pad,I wear them 24/7 with a shaped pad and I have never had a leak onto my clothes even when I was stuck in a 3 hours traffic jam one day and filled my pad way beyond its capacity. I used net pants before that but the pads moved about a lot and I had some leakage accidents. If you try plastic pants, the first few weeks are the hardest because they stop leaks but are uncomfortable and don’t smell great, but you can get used to them and put it to the back of your mind. And if you use the right wipes, and change pads regularly they will be more comfortable, and I find them totally dependable.
Are you wearing close-fitting underwear to keep the pad close? I find Lycra men’s trunks work better than, say cotton y-fronts. I often wear sondico base layer trunks from sports direct or Slazenger briefs also from sports direct – they’re not yfronts, just plain slips, but both hold a Tena men pad close in. May help with random leaks. My other option is men’s pull-ups. Depend comfort protect are really discrete and have a low waistband. Tena men active fit are also good for absorbency and have a discrete blue colour
