I have been struggling with incontinence for a few years now (bladder and bowel) and all of a sudden im getting very sore skin. I think its from using so much kitchen roll to clean myself up with. Its really dried my skin out and its getting quite sore now. Whether its to do with the cold weather or not too, im not sure. But does anything exist like creams or foams or any sort of skincare products? ive just come across this forum and would rather have peoples own recommendations. Ill be very happy if someone can help! 🙂
It is really important to use cleansing products for managing your incontinence. This decreases the risk of skin complications such as incontinence associated dermatitis.
You’re right, kitchen roll is too rough on the skin. Creams and foams do exist and are vital to include in your skincare regime. Tena has a popular range of skin care products for managing incontinence. The Tena Wash cream cleanses, restores and protects the skin and is 7 times more moisturising than soap and water. The Tena Wash Mousse protects the skin’s natural PH and keeps the skin feeling hydrated and soft. The Tena Wash Glove can be used in combination with these products.
Luxury cleansing milks and lotions can further soften your skin. Would you like any more recommendations of these products?
The shampoo caps can be worn without water, as there is no need for rinsing! This should save you time and cuts down any hassle.
That’s great, let me know if you have any more queries about products.
