So after several visits to my GP, Hospital, poked and prodded. I am now told i have stress incontinence. I have read somewhere that surgery is an option. Anyone had this done or know of what it entails?
Although you can slightly limit fluid intake before exercise, be careful you do not become dehydrated. This can actually worsen leakages!
Have you heard of bladder retraining? This is another option for treating stress incontinence that has a high success rate. This method aims to help you hold on for longer and have better control over your bladder. Your bladder should slowly stretch so you can hold larger volumes of urine. You should ask your doctor or talk to an incontinence nurse about a retraining programme.
This method is much less invasive than surgery which is why many people opt for this over surgery.
