My father is generally of good health for his age. But he has recently become doubly incontinent, which had coincided with him losing weight over a period of say 3 months to now being 60kg. The real issue seems to be that he just does not have the feelings we all normally associate with needing to go. He has no sensations of need at all, it just happens and happens quick. The carers tell me how common it is which I am sorry to say does nothing to help really, and my Dad is totally shattered by it all. Do you know of any connection between weight loss and becoming incontinent…? Most of what I can find speak of weight loss as being a good thing for reducing incontinence, so I am confused.

I appreciate any help you give..
