I am 44 years of age and developed bladder leakage after a fall backwards ice skating and another person fell onto me.
I was then diagnosed with a prolapse, stress incontinence and over active bladder. This gets me down on a daily basis and need to always wear a towel.
Sorry to hear this has happened to you. Have you been offered tips and advice on managing this from Doctors? Feel free to read our living with incontinence section for guidance.
Each type of prolapse can cause problems with the bladder and bowel, and I would definitely recommend booking an appointment with your GP or a continence specialist to discuss the best treatment options!
Thank you for your reply.
I was seeing a urology nurse specialist who advised pelvic floor exercises and i was given a pessary ring.
I was also given an appointment to have a cystogram but I was too afraid to go because the doctor was male.
I will arrange through my gp to attend the clinic once again and hope i can get some reassurance from them.
It was great to have found your site.
