Hello, I suffer with both bowel and bladder incontinence. I’m really struggling to find a reasonable priced product which will be ok for someone with doubly incontinence. can you help??
Double incontinence can be a stressful condition to manage. There are, however, a number of affordable products that are designed for both faecal and urinary incontinence!
It would be useful to know how heavy your incontinence is. Is your double incontinence heavy with no bladder or bowel control, or light and infrequent?
Sorry to hear you are struggling with severe incontinence, it can be very scary however you are doing the right thing by investing in products!
Managing severe double incontinence requires you to ideally find a product of a “Maxi” absorbency. All-In-One products are a popular product for managing both faecal and urinary incontinence. Adhesive tapes at the side hold All-In-One pads in position, forming a reliable seal against urine, stools and smearing.
There are, however, a range of alternative products if you are very active and do not feel comfortable in an All-In-One. Are you fairly independent and mobile?
Have you heard of pull up products? Pull up pants are elasticated at the waist and legs to give you greater protection and are designed to feel just like normal underwear. The Tena Pants Maxi are designed for managing both urinary and faecal incontinence and are a popular option. You can purchase these pants here.
Don’t hesitate to ask if you need any more product advice.
