hi! I have been given different opinions on this and thought it would start an interesting debate. I have heavy incontinence and am realizing that some pads are not working for me anymore. I can survive in them..however I have to change sooo many times. I am a fairly active 67 year old man…love my golf, gardening and occasional jogging.
Which product is better for heavy leaks and staying fairly active: pull up pants or all in ones?
I am constantly seeing different opinions online.
The truth is annoying but how products seem to work…pull ups are PERFECT for normal underwear feel. However, if your incontinence is severe, PLEASE choose all in ones.
Pull ups were recommended to me when I’d just had my daughter. I was very active in sport, and these were absolutely brilliant. Felt like normal underwear…really good to move around in.
However, years later I have the problem due to spinal injury. Tried pull ups…nowhere near absorbent enough. All in ones are an absolute savior..never have to worry about leaks.
Hope this helps.
For me, I wear belted slips 24/7 and can totally relax when I have them in place, whatever I`m doing, e.g. long journeys, taking flights or just out and about shopping. I much prefer the body-contouring feel and do not in the slightest feel like I am back in a child`s nappy. Nothing shows and I do athletic activity. I`ve tried pull-ups – saggy, baggy and not properly absorbent. I gave up pads years ago.
I’ve been wearing all in ones, or nappies for years. I swear by them. Yes they are a little bulky, and they can make you feel a little weird at first but you get used to them. I find they are easier to change than pull ups, they are brilliant protection and they give me confidence to carry on with life knowing that I haven’t got to worry about leaks. I prefer the plastic backed variety as they don’t stretch, sag, and stink like the cloth backed version.
