I’ve been experimenting leaking for 3 months now. It kinda started one day all of a sudden and now I can’t seem to get rid of it.
I feel like I have to pee nearly every hours, sometimes I go to the toilet in time but sometimes it’s just to urgent and I don’t make it in time. It happens to me only during the day but nearly every day.
I live a very active live and I don’t want that issue to stop me so I’ve been using men protections from the supermarket.
I know I should go and see my doctor but I’ m really too ashamed to do it. After researching online I feel like it happens only to old people or women. I’m afraid to look like a crazy person.
Any advice ?
I’m in the same position as you, and have recently started using pads too. I too had found it embarrassing as a young man, but I had to do something as it was becoming impossible to stop the urgency to go, often leading to accidents. I’d like to know how you’re getting on and what protection you have found useful.
Thanks for your answers.
@Beth I’ve decided to give myself a few more weeks before seeing a uro.I have tried to change my habits (smoke, coffee etc) but I probably will because I dont really see any improvement.
@Dave_69 I have found Tena Men pads to be useful. When I know I’ll have a busy day I sometimes wear the underwear kind but it looks too much like a diaper to me so I’d rather wear the pads. I work in a shop so I dont always have time/the possibility to go to the loo when I have to, so yeah no way I could do it without pads 🙄🤦🏻
I’m seeing my GP next week as my incontinence has gotten gradually worse. I’ve been wearing nappies too as sometimes I’m often working long days, sometimes with out a break, and even when I don’t need to go, as soon as I step outside I start peeing. I’ve reduced my caffeine intake but still smoking, and I know I need to lose weight. I’ve been using Tena slips up until now, and they’ve been reassuring and discreet. Starting to become more comfortable now as I’m no longer finding the need to rush to the toilet constantly.
