hi,ive always been a bedwetter since i was little, wet the bed until i was about 14yrs old, wore nappies to school and got bullied because i smelt of urine,it stopped for years, then i started wetting the bed, then leaking during the day, then wearing adult nappies full time,my ex partner has been a great help and buys my nappies,it ruined our relationship, feel alone…
Sorry you have had to deal with this. It can help to know that there are around 3 million and 6 million people in the UK with incontinence, people often just don’t talk about it!
You shouldn’t let incontinence get in the way of every day life, as there is often a solution or management tip that will be helpful. Has a Doctor or GP told you the cause of your incontinence?
Good afternoon my name is Michael Phillips the last few months I have been started wearing a nappy is that good or bad
Ideally I personally think it is bad as it means something is not right physically.
I wear one too and although it is a blessing I would much prefer not to have to wear one.
Hi I`m John,
Provided that all is well physically, you should use a nappy if it helps your mental and physical well being. I`ve worn 24/7 now for well over 15 years due to prostate treatment and resultant over-active bladder. My protection of choice is I.D. Expert belted slips (maxi) in small size, inside my briefs. They are wonderful to use, very discreet and easy to change in disabled toilets when out shopping etc. I also wear good quality plastic pants every night for peace of mind more than anything else and also again, slip them on over the top of nappy and briefs when I`m going out shopping and certainly on longer journeys. I always carry a couple of spare nappies in the car, with disposal bags too.
Don`t be the slightest bit ashamed. My wife, her sister and my friends are all very supportive of my condition. It is VERY common.
Could you let me know the manufacturer of your nappies and your plastic pants please?
Many Thanks to you
