I have been recommended Lille Suprem for Men are really annoyed that are not nearly absorbent enough. Incontinence is new for me after an operation, and quite frankly I hope all products are not as un-helpful as these. I have what I would say is moderate, occasionally more heavy leaks. What do I try now? David
Hi David,
Are you wanting to stick with pads or would you be willing to try a different style?
If you are fairly active, I would recommend trying a pant product such as TENA Pants Super, as they have more absorbency and will put your mind at rest.
Suprem for Men come in two absorbancies – the SUPER version I cannot recommend highly enough – they are completely unusual and fold round your penis so it is enclosed on all sides – no more wet stomach. Unfortunately they are no longer available in Britain, I buy mine from CitiCare in Germany https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173773146096. As a completely different answer they deserve more exposure.
We would not recommend The Lille for Men Super as this has been discontinued by the manufacturer a long time ago. And the supplies you order from Germany might be stock that has been sat for equally as long in a warehouse which will impair on the absorbency of the product.
Instead, we’d suggest finding an alternative (luckily there are many Men incontinence pads out there). Unfortunately in the incontinence world, manufacturers discontinue/introduce/rename products to their catalogue all the time without necessarily communicating on these changes to end users, leaving people like you in a dead end.
Whether it be pull-ups or all in one’s, it is very much a question of trying different products. I have had bladder problems for years and used lots of products. It also depends on the absorbency you need and your level of activity.
Recently I discovered Drylife products, for me they are really comfortable, super absorbent and they are dry….they don’t leak. The only problem is when wet they are bulky……but at home I don’t care.
I work from home and use these during the day:

And these at night:

If I go out I use Attends slip Active. They fit well and for activity they are very good, but whilst discrete and good for the gym, they don’t hold as much and so more changes are required, which can be awkward when out.

I only ever use pull ups when I go to the doctors as I find they are more prone to leaking and relatively are much more expensive.
The other thing is I prefer the PE or plastic backed products as they, in my opinion are better leak and smell wise. The breathable products do, well breath…. and I can detect odour from them….but that is me. It is quite subjective and I am afraid if you are going to have to wear these for the long term you need to try what works for you.
I regularly try new products and if they are not for me I just don’t buy them again.
Some sites sell samples…. Oh and shop around as prices vary a lot. Amazon have started discounting subscribe and save on some things and other sites discount in cases….other sites just are really extortionate.
Lille Suprem for Men Super are only not available in Britain – they are not discontinued and still made and freely available on the Continent.
