I’m 13 and recently i have begun to wet the bed again. I started a month ago and over the last week i have begun to wet myself during the day. First time i realised as i started peeing but today i was walking out of my front door to the shops and i realised only when i heard the pee dripping on the floor. No warning just complete loss of bladder control. Please advise
Hi Emily
Firstly, I would urge you to go and see your GP as it may be that it is an infection that has started this all off and that would be easily sorted out but really needs treating. Does it hurt all when you wee? There are also specialist nurse continence advisers with most NHS trusts that you can speak to as well and they are extreme helpful and understanding. They can also help with supplies of incontinence products. Like Ev I use the TENA Slip Active Fit, which I get delivered free by the NHS.The TENA Slip is an all in one disposable ‘nappy’ type product and I have found them to be the best for my bedwetting and daytime incontinence. I have no warning and wet heavily so the pull-up type products just can’t cope. Some supermarkets also stock the TENA Slip products.I also use a washable bed pad that I sleep on and have a waterproof mattress cover on the bed. When you are back at school you could also speak to your school nurse if you found that easier. They will be very used to it I should think as you will be surprised how many young people have this problem too. I hope this helps. Good luck
