I have a holiday booked and don’t know how I’ll manage..I’m always at the toilet
When are you set to go on holiday?? If you have a few weeks or months to wait. Try to determine the type of incontinence you have, heavy leaks and full accidents sounds like “urge incontinence”. Frequent toilet visits and not being able to go out or do long journeys sounds like overactive bladder!. I had the same problem as you. Call your GP and hand in a sample to rule out infection.up your water intake!!. Cut out coffee or alcohol. Avoid irritating your bladder. If you don’t have an infection ask about medication for frequent urination such as tolterodine or myrabetric. This drug will help control bladder spasms. Which means your bladder will gradually gain normal capacity. Less toilet visits. Then try train your bladder by holding on when you need to urinate for as long as you can, set toilet intervals and try stick to them!!!
Google “bladder training” and “overactive bladder medication”. Keep in touch with your gp. If all that doesn’t help look into pads and adult nappies!!. Good luck!! Urge in continents and over active bladder. Look up what ever you can and ask your doctor lots of questions!, note on how many accidents and leaks you have and the volume of urine you expell!!
