To everyone who has offered advice over the past couple of months. I’m urinary incontinent and have started wearing nappies of a day time to help with urge peeing and minor leaks, and I’ve got over the initial embarrassment of having to wear pads at the age of 51 due to the support on here. It’s reassuring to know that I’m not alone, so thank you 😊
Hi I agree it’s a big help to know your not alone. Sometimes you just won’t to talk to someone that fully understands just what it’s like to be incontinent. I’ve lived with it for over 20 years and I steal have days wear it gets me down
Hi John
I think we all have similar days When it can get you down, so it’s good to have a safe place we can talk about our incontinence, where we are not judged. I never thought I’d ever hear myself saying that I wear a nappy. I didn’t realise it was so common.
Dave
Hi Dave
The one thing that gets me down is being out and I know I’m quite wet and if I sit down there be some leaks. Evan with plastic pants over my nappy it can steal happen.
I don’t like changing in public toilets so I wear high capacity nappies for going out.
If I know I’ll be out for a long time I’ll use a booster pad as well and I’m fine with that but if I leak I go to bits and just won’t to get home as quickly as possible
I totally sympathise with you John. I had my first night out in months last night, and made the mistake of only wearing a Medium absorbency slip, which was fine up unto a point. I had to leave early as I lost control and wet myself through. Didn’t want to wear a nappy due to my own stupid pride, and that did get me down that I had to end my night suddenly due to losing control. I’m due to see the doctor this week, and it terrifies me
In case it turns out to be something serious.
Hi mate just wanted to say a massive thank you to you as well you’ve been a massive help at such a rubbish time I hope things are getting more manageable for you mate
