I was hoping on some advice I suffer with what I believe is incontinence I’m 80 and just manage this by changing my underwear regularly which isn’t ideal my age! I was thinking of just using some normal sanitary pads but I don’t know if this would be advised. I would appreciate some advice on products available for light incontinence.
Thank you in advance
It is common, however it isn’t something that is a normal part of ageing. Yes, seeing a Doctor can help outline any serious underlying causes. It is something they hear about on a daily basis, so you shouldn’t feel judged or embarrassed.
You should be prepared to share your daily diet with your Doctor. They will likely ask you about your lifestyle and suggest useful changes. A Doctor can also assess your situation and suggest whether you need surgery. They can recommend you treatment that is ideal for your individual circumstance.
Let me know if you need any more tips on preparing for this.
