hello everyone,
me and my husband will soon be travelling down to london from manchester for a nice weekend away (can’t wait). However, I have very heavy overflow incontinence due to my advanced Multiple Sclerosis. Long train journeys scare me, what if the toilets aren’t working? What if I leak onto the seat? Another thing I’m worried about is having to make constant toilet trips and getting stares. I am in a large shaped pad and I find this quite comfortable, however am considering getting something heavier just for this weekend.
Thanks,
Joan
Hi Joan,
Thanks for your question. That sounds exciting, you definitely shouldn’t let incontinence get in the way of it!
Firstly, I would recommend trying an all in one pad. Don’t be worried about these, these are pads that are held in place by straps or a belt. The design of these means they can be worn for a long period of time, and they are highly absorbent. The iD Expert Slip Maxi
Take a spare product with you in your bag, in case you need to change the product. If you are worried about odour, I would also recommend the Neutradol Odour Spray to spray in the bathroom and the conti continence care wipes for good hygiene.
Have you booked an aisle seat? If you haven’t already, it would be a good idea to ensure you are at the end of a row and in reasonable distance to a toilet, rather than sitting in the middle.
