Hi everyone, just wondered what people’s opinions were on those plastic waterproof pants? I mean those see-through ones that you wear over a product. I want to try these, as i am always conscious of leaking through my product. However, people have told me they are uncomfortable and not worth buying. Anyone have any experience with them?
I have many years experience of wearing plastic pants as a measure of extra security over whatever pads/nappies you find comfortable for your particular disability. My urinary incontinence issues are complex, but in brief, I had prostate cancer 3 years ago and this has led to an over active bladder. Additionally, I had childhood abuse and stress-related incontinence throughout my whole adult life. I wear very good quality plastic pants over my slip/nappy at night and could not sleep soundly without them on. By day, if travelling any distance, I also have a brief bikini style plastic pants over my briefs and nappy for peace of mind. If you select the right product, you will hardly know that you are wearing them, although there is a period of adjustment to the feel of them. Give them a try and good luck with them.
No noise at all when you have them on. If you choose a style (and there are many)they should easily slip over your briefs and nappy and not show either under tight trousers or at the back of your waistline. They are always soft and comfortable, far more so than when I first had to start wearing them in the 1960s.
