Hi all- I’m new to this and would appreciate some advice . I’m diagnosed with bph, and have had an ultrasound scan showing enlarged prostate and retention. I get urge incontinence and leak as soon as I feel the need to go. I have been given a supply of shaped pads with fixing pants, whilst I wait for consultant referral to come through. The pads are fine for small leaks, but soon get heavy, and then leak at the sides onto my clothing. I don’t think the pad is full, but doesn’t seem to contain. How do others deal with this- what’s the best way to keep them secure? Any suggestions gratefully received! Thanks
As a man who had had prostate issues and occasional nocturnal wetting for many years, it might be worth your while using all-in-one “slips” until your medical advice has fully identified the problem. I have used slips for many years now and find them totally suited to my condition. They can be secured around the pelvis with Velcro and never move if you wear one under your briefs. Being able to relax without the nagging feeling of wanting to go or needing to locate toilets is the best way to manage your condition. This website has links to excellent product descriptions and telephone advice if you should need it. Hope this helps – I know how distressing the problem of incontinence can be.
