I have IBS and when I have a flare up, which is regular, I have about 10 trips there the toilet a day to empty my bowel, severe bloating and gurgling noises from my stomach, and I get intense pressure pain in my bladder and leak urine before I can get to the toilet. I wear plastic pants and pads continuously which restrict me and it’s just so hard. Had a colonoscopy a year ago, trying meds etc, but just feel horrible and lost all my confidence. Pads stink and feel I have to wear plastic pants to hide smell but am very sore all the time and feel so self conscious.
You are not alone out there. Keep faith. It seems that you are already using the right products. Plastic pants do help with the smell indeed.
As for the soreness, there are specific creams that you can use to keep a natural barrier to prevent any additional damage as well as other products such as skin cleansing foam to use in conjunction with wipes to prevent irritation.
