Has anyone had this procedure done? What I read on the internet it helps reduce/cure stress incontinence? I know it maybe hype, this is why I’m on here asking, it’s an expensive procedure, but maybe worth it? I just can’t find real reviews.
Also, would it be something worth asking my GP about, I have suffered this for 26yrs after my first child and as I get older it’s not getting any better.
I have tried various other ways to help my pelvic floor, exercises, medication, but none have worked. I now no longer do any fitness for fear of setting myself publicly.
Hi,
Have you tried any other treatment methods for your incontinence? Surgery is often recommended as a last resort for stress incontinence as it can be highly invasive.
Vaginal rejuvenation surgery tightens and tones the entire length of the vaginal wall. It revives the strength of the pelvic muscles and can restore full bladder control. It has been proven to be successful in most cases, so it is worth asking a Doctor about this if other methods haven’t worked for you.
yes I have been to physiotherapy where I was given exercises, I have purchased kegel weights where you start with the lightest and work to the heaviest, none of which I had much success with.
Surgery is my worst nightmare as I have a phobia of hospitals so when I was told about the procedure I just about passed out at the information appointment.
thankyou for your response, I will contact my GP and enquire further.
Have you heard of bladder training? This is another option for stress incontinence if you are worried about surgery. Bladder training involves building up the amount of urine you can hold in your bladder in a supported way to increase your bladder’s strength. You can find out more about this here.
This may be worth asking your GP about if you’d prefer a natural method?
